- Step 1: If you have configured your AOL account in the Mail app, launch the app by clicking the Go menu at the top and then selecting the Applications option from the drop-down menu.
- Step 2: In the Applications folder, double-click the Mail icon to launch the Mail app.
- Step 3: Choose your AOL email account from the left-side panel and click the Mailbox menu at the top.
- Step 4: Select the Online Status option from the drop-down list and click on Take AOL Online.
- Step 5: Alternatively, you can select the Take “Aol.com” Online option.
- Step 6: If you want to take all the email accounts online, click the Mailbox menu and select the Take All Accounts Online option to solve AOL mail is offline on Mac.
- Step 7: If you cannot take your AOL Mail account online, ensure that you have a stable Internet connection on your Mac.
- Step 8: Verify that you have firmly connected the Ethernet cable (for a wired network connection) to the router’s LAN port and the Ethernet port on your Mac.
- Step 9: Suppose you see any warning messages next to your account name, click on it to open Connection Doctor.
- Step 10: Alternatively, you can open it by selecting Window followed by Connection Doctor in the Mail app.
- Step 11: Click the Check button to verify the Internet connection.
- Step 12: If the Internet connection has no issues, then there might be a problem with the AOL Mail server.
- Step 13: Make sure that you have granted all the permissions for your mailboxes on the mail server.
