- Step 1:On your MacBook pro, check whether you have correctly configured the server settings for the AOL Mail email account.
- Step 2:To do so, open the Mail app by clicking the Mail icon on the Dock.
- Step 3:If the Mail icon is not available, click the Finder icon and select the Applications option from the Go drop-down menu.
- Step 4:Locate the Mail icon and double-click on it to launch the app.
- Step 5:Once launched, click the Mail menu at the top of the screen.
- Step 6:Select the Preferences option from the pull-down menu.
- Step 7:Click the Accounts icon in the Preferences window.
- Step 8:In the Accounts window, navigate to the left-side panel and choose your AOL email account.
- Step 9:Click the Account Information tab and verify the email address.
- Step 10:Select the Edit Email Address option from the Email Address drop-down menu.
- Step 11:Give a double-click on the email address or your profile and edit the necessary information.
- Step 12:Once verified, click the OK button and move to the Server Settings tab.
- Step 13:Make sure that the Outgoing Mail Account pull-down menu is set to the AOL server.
- Step 14:If not so, select the AOL server from the Outgoing Mail Account drop-down menu.
- Step 15:Also, check both the incoming and outgoing mail server names and server ports while solving AOL mail not working on Macbook pro.
- Step 16:To verify the server settings, click the Edit SMTP server list button.
