  • Step 1:ISP (Internet Service Provider): AOL
  • Step 2:SMTP server: smtp.aol.com
  • Step 3:SMTP Port: 465 or 587

Note: SSL is enabled automatically for outgoing and incoming mail servers.

Now, let’s see how to set up AOL with your QuickBooks desktop account using the above-mentioned mail server settings.

  • Step 1:Sign in to your QuickBooks Desktop account.
  • Step 2:Click the Edit menu provided at the top left corner of the screen.
  • Step 3:Choose the Preferences option.
  • Step 4:Now, a new window titled Preferences will open.
  • Step 5:Locate the Send Forms option in the opened window and click on it.
  • Step 6:Choose the WebMail option from the list and click the ADD button.
  • Step 7:Now, a window prompting you to enter the details related to your email account will open.
  • Step 8:In the opened window, enter your AOL mail ID in the given field.
  • Step 9:Choose Others as the email provider.
  • Step 10:Navigate to the Server name field, type the smtp.aol.com. Type 587 in the Port field.
  • Step 11:Click OK.
  • Step 12:Now, the confirmation message will be displayed on the screen.
