- Step 1:First, open the Outlook application on your computer.
- Step 2:Click on File > Account Settings.
- Step 3:Click the Email tab and select the New option.
- Step 4:Select the Manual setup or additional server types option and click Next.
- Step 5:Select the POP or IMAP option and go to the next step.
- Step 6:Now, you have to enter the required details under the User Information, Server Information, and Logon Information sections.
- Step 7:Under the User Information section, enter your full name and AT&T email address.
- Step 8:Under Server Information, choose the account type as either POP or IMAP.
- Step 9:Now, enter the incoming and outgoing server addresses. The details are given below to config ATT net mail settings for Outlook.
- Step 10:Incoming mail server address (IMAP): imap.mail.att.net.
- Step 11:Incoming mail server address (POP): inbound.att.net
- Step 12:Outgoing mail server address (SMTP): smtp.mail.att.net.
- Step 13:Choose the security type as SSL or better protection.
- Step 14:Under the Logon Information section, type your full AT&T email address and password.
- Step 15:Enable the Remember password checkbox.
- Step 16:Now, click the More Settings button and go to the Outgoing Server tab.
- Step 17:Enable the options mentioned below and then go to the Advanced tab.
- Step 18:My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Step 19:Use same settings as my incoming mail server
- Step 20:When you are on the Advanced tab, configure the port settings for the incoming and the outgoing servers.
- Step 21:Incoming port (IMAP): 993
- Step 22:Incoming port (IMAP): 995
- Step 23:Outgoing port (SMTP): 465
- Step 24:Encryption type: SSL
- Step 25:Click OK followed by Next.
- Step 26:Make sure to save all the settings you have made. Click on the Close icon and select Finish.
- Step 27:Once you have configured your AT&T net mail account, you will be able to send and receive email messages from Outlook.
- Step 28:Restart your Outlook account after adding your email to send and receive emails.
- Step 29:You can use the same ATT net mail settings for Outlook to configure your account on any email client.
