Change Password In Em Client - Quick Steps

In case you have recently changed your email account password in the web-based mail server, you cannot access the same account configured in your desktop email client. You have to update the password in eM Client as well. For detailed instructions, go through the steps below to change password in eM Client.

  • Step 1 : Usually, when you change the email password, you have to update the password on eM Clientwith the 0Auth2 screen.
  • Step 2: To view the 0Auth2 screen, you need to disable the eM Client app access in your Gmailaccount.
  • Step 3: To do so, launch the default browser and log in to your Gmail account.
  • Step 4: Navigate to the My Account app in the Gmail programs.
  • Step 5: Head to the Sign-in & security section and select the Apps with account access option.
  • Step 6: Select Manage Apps below Apps with access to your account .
  • Step 7: Click eM Client and then select Remove Access .
  • Step 8: Now, launch the eM Client app on your computer and wait until the 0Auth2 screen appears.
  • Step 9: Enter your new password in the required field. You can nowaccess your email account.

  • Step 1: If the 0Auth screen doesn’t pop up, you can manually change the password under Authentication .
  • Step 2: Launch the eM Client app, navigate to the top-left corner, and then click the Menu button.
  • Step 3: Select the Tools option followed by Accounts from the drop-down list.
  • Step 4: In the Accounts window, choose your email account from the left-side panel and click the General tab.
  • Step 5: Under the Authentication section, enter your new password in the Password field.
  • Step 6: After ensuring that you have entered the correct server settings, click the OK button.
