- Step 1:On your computer, launch the eM Client app and click the Menu button at the top-left corner.
- Step 2:Select the Tools option followed by Accounts from the drop-down menu.
- Step 3:In the Accounts window, choose your email account from the left-side panel and click the General tab.
- Step 4:Under User Information, verify that you have entered the correct email address in the Email field.
- Step 5:Also, verify whether you have entered the correct email address and password of your email account in the Authentication section.
- Step 6:Go to the SMTP tab and verify whether you have entered the correct outgoing mail server name, server port, and encryption type in the Server field.
- Step 7:Under the Authentication section, ensure that the Server requires authentication checkbox is selected.
- Step 8:Navigate to the POP3 or IMAP tab and check the incoming mail server name, server port, and encryption type.
- Step 9:If you have configured your Gmail account in eM Client, close the app and open the default browser on your computer.
- Step 10:Navigate to the official Gmail sign-in page and enter your login credentials in the required field to access your email account.
- Step 11:Click the Security tab from the left-side panel and navigate to the Less secure apps section.
- Step 12:Toggle on the slider next to Allow less secure apps: On.
- Step 13:Log out from your Gmail account and launch the eM Client app.
- Step 14:Send a test email from your Gmail account and check if the problem has been resolved.
- Step 15:If still eM client not connecting to server, remove and reconfigure your email account settings.
