For this, you have to configure your GMX email account in an email client with proper server settings.
Incoming Mail Server
POP3 or IMAP is used by email clients to receive incoming emails.
Post Office Protocol (POP) - Once you download your email, it will be deleted from the email server. You can view all the downloaded emails without an internet connection.
Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) - This protocol requires a stable internet connection. All your emails will be saved in the email server. Even after downloading your GMX emails, you can access them from another device.
Outgoing mail server
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) - It transfers your emails from your email client to the email server. Lastly, it forwards them to the respective recipient’s email address.

Step 1: Server name - imap.gmx.com
Step 2: Port - 993
Encryption - SSL
Step 1: Server name - pop.gmx.com

Step 2: Port - 587 or 465

Manual Setup Of The GMX Email Account In Apple Mail
Step 1: Navigate to the menu bar.
Step 2: Click the Mail tab and select Preferences.
Step 3: To add the GMX email account, navigate to the Accounts tab and click the Add (+) button.
Step 4: Type your display name in the Full Name field for Gmx mail server settings.
Step 5: Enter the GMX email address and password in the Email Address and Password fields, respectively.
Step 6: While pressing the Alt key, click the Continue button.
Step 7: Choose your preferred incoming server type from the Account Type drop-down menu.
Step 8: Fill the Incoming Mail Server, User Name, and Password fields with valid details.
Step 9: In the Incoming Mail Server window, click Continue.
Step 10: Enter the outgoing mail server details correctly.
Step 11: Make sure to select the Use Authentication checkbox.
Step 12: To continue with the Gmx mail server settings and setup, click Continue.
Step 13: When the Account Summary window opens, check the GMX email account information.
Step 14: Click the Create button.
Step 15: This will add the GMX email account in Apple Mail.
Automatic Setup Of The GMX Email Account In Thunderbird
Step 1: Launch the Thunderbird email client on your computer.
Step 2: In the main panel, navigate to the Accounts section and click the Email option.
Step 3: Select Skip this and use my existing email.
Step 4: Enter the GMX email account information in the appropriate fields for Gmx mail server settings.
Step 5: Click Continue.
Step 6: Wait until the Thunderbird email client detects the server settings of your GMX email account.
Step 7: Select your preferred account type and click Done.
Step 8: Once the email configuration is done, you can send/receive GMX emails in the Thunderbird client.
Manual Setup Of The GMX Email Account In Windows Mail
Step 1: Launch the Windows Mail client.
Step 2: In the right panel, click the Settings icon.
Step 3: Select Accounts -> Add an account -> Other account.
Step 4: Choose your account type and click the Connect button.
Step 5: Type your GMX email address and password in the Email address and Password fields, respectively.
Step 6: Click the Show more details link.
Step 7: Provide the GMX email server details correctly.
Step 8: Once you click Connect, the Gmx mail server settings added to the Windows Mail client.
