- Step 1:Make sure that the Outlook application is not running in the background because some users were unable to transfer emails while keeping WLM and Outlook open.
- Step 3: Click the File menu, select the Export email tab on the left panel, and then select the Email messages option.
- Step 4: When the Windows Live Mail Export dialog window appears, select the Microsoft Exchange option from the displayed list and click the Next button.
- Step 5: Now, you can see a window prompting for permission to export messages. Click on the OK button.
- Step 6: Choose the Outlook option in the Profile name section from the drop-down list and click OK.
- Step 7: You can choose the folders you need to export your email messages.
- Step 8: If you want only the Inbox folder, click the Selected folders radio button, choose the Inbox folder and click the OK button.
- Step 9: To export all the folders, click the All folders radio button and then click OK.
- Step 10: Wait until the selected folders are exported. You can see the Export messages window while the emails are being transferred.
- Step 11: Once all the email messages have been transferred, a confirmation will appear on the screen.
- Step 12: Open the Outlook application to view your WLM email messages and verify the transfer.
