iCloud Mail Server Settings For Android

When you are switching to an Android mobile phone from an iPhone, you have to transfer all your data, and then arises the doubt whether it is possible to transfer the iCloud Mail account. You can set up your iCloud Mail account on your Android device if you know the mail server settings. Read the below steps to know the iCloud Mail server settings for Android.

Step-1: Create An App Password

  • Step 1:When you want to access your iCloud Mail account on any third-party apps, you have to generate the app-password. 
  • Step 2:Open the browser app on your iPhone and go to the official AppleID website.
  • Step 3:On the Apple webpage, sign in using your AppleID and then go to the Security settings section.
  • Step 4:Select Generate Password, then enter a name and click Create.
  • Step 5:Note the password that appears on-screen and then close the window.

Step-2: Set up The Account On Android

  • Step 1:Tap the Settings app on your Android mobile and then scroll to the Email Accounts/Accounts menu.
  • Step 2:Select Add Account, choose iCloud from the given options if you want to add the iCloud Mail account to the Gmail app, and select Personal (IMAP)
  • Step 3:Enter the iCloud email address and tap Next.
  • Step 4:Type the app-password that you have generated on the Apple webpage and select Next.
  • Step 5:If you wish to set up the iCloud mail server settings for android manually, use the below incoming and outgoing mail server information.

Username: Your iCloud email address

Password: Use the generated app-password

Incoming mail server (IMAP)

  • Step 1:Server name: imap.mail.me.com
  • Step 2:Port: 993
  • Step 3:Required SSL: Yes

Outgoing mail server (SMTP)

  • Step 1:Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • Step 2:Port: 587
  • Step 3:Required SSL: Yes
  • Step 4:SMTP Authentication: Yes

Save the iCloud mail server settings for android, open the Email or Gmail app on the Android mobile and check if you could access the iCloud Mail account.
