IMAP GMX Com Not Responding - [SOLVED]

You can configure your GMX mail account on an email client like Outlook using either IMAP or POP. However, you might come across IMAP GMX com not responding issues with on your GMX account. This might occur if the IMAP server settings are not configured correctly. When you have the IMAP server not responding, you won’t receive any new email messages on your email account.

  • Step 2: Make sure to choose the Send and receive emails via external program (Outlook, Thunderbird) checkbox.
  • Step 3: Click on Apply and save the settings.
  • Step 4: Now, open your email client, let’s say Outlook.
  • Step 5: Under the File menu, select Info > Add Account to set up a new account.
  • Step 6: Enter your email address in the available field.
  • Step 7: Select the Advanced options and then select the Let me set up my account manually checkbox.
  • Step 8: Choose the account type as IMAP.

  • Step 14: The encryption method: STARTTLS
  • Step 15: Click the Connect button on the IMAP Account Settings dialog box.
  • Step 16: Under the login dialog box, enter your email address and password.
  • Step 17: Press OK and finish setting up your GMX account using IMAP in Outlook.
