Mail Merge Stuck In Outbox - [SOLVED]

Mail Merge is a feature in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. It is used to create multiple customized documents (letters) using a single template. If the mail merge is stuck in the Outbox folder on your Outlook client, you cannot send the mail merge template. Solution 1: Resend The Email

  • Step 1: On your Windows computer, double-click the Outlook shortcut icon on the desktop to launch the Outlook app.
  • Step 2: Click the Outbox tab from the left-side panel to open the Outbox folder.
  • Step 3: Double-click the message that is stuck in the Outbox folder and close it again.
  • Step 4: Next, select the message and press the Delete key or move it to the Drafts folder. This will resend the message.
  • Step 5: Verify whether you have a standard Internet connection on your computer before sending the email.

Solution 2: Turn On And Off Offline Mode

  • Step 1: Launch Outlook 2007 on your computer and click the File menu available at the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Step 2: Select the Work Offline option from the drop-down menu to put Outlook in Offline mode.
  • Step 3: If you are working on Outlook 2010/2013/2016/2019, click the Send/Receive tab from the workgroup and select the Work Offline option.
  • Step 4: Now, the status under the window will be changed to Working Offline. 
  • Step 5: Restart your computer and put Outlook back to Work Online mode. Doing so will fix the mail merge stuck in Outbox and other outgoing problems.

Solution 3: Repair Outlook

  • Step 1: On your Windows computer, click the Start menu and type 'control panel' in the search panel.
  • Step 2: From the search result, double-click the Control Panel app. This will launch the Control Panel app on the screen.
  • Step 3: Click the Programs tab in the Control Panel window and select Programs and Features.
  • Step 4: Locate the Microsoft Office program from the displayed list and select it.
  • Step 5: Next, click the Change button and select the Repair option.
  • Step 6: Follow the on-screen prompts and repair the Outlook app installed on your computer.
  • Step 7: Once completed, reboot the computer and check if the mail stuck in outbox problem has been resolved.
  • Step 8: If the mail merge stuck in Outbox problem persists, remove and reinstall the Outlook app.
