Outlook Not Printing Email - [SOLVED]

Users of the recent versions of Outlook are facing an issue i.e Outlook not printing email. When they attempt to print any email, Outlook immediately displays an error message saying Printer is not ready or Not possible to print until an item is chosen. Solution 1: Try To Recreate The Outprint File

The Outlprnt file contains the Outlook printing style settings. The Outlprnt file would have been corrupted if you are not able to print in Outlook. Recreating this file will resolve the Outlook not printing email issue.

  • Step 1: If the Outlook application is running, close it.
  • Step 2: Go to %appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook. Otherwise, use the search option to open the Outlprnt file.
  • Step 3: Right-click on the file and choose Rename. Then change its name to some other name. For instance, give the name as Outlprnt 1.
  • Step 4: After completing the above steps, open the Outlook application and try to print the email. If it prints the email, then the issue is resolved. If not, move to the next solution.

Solution 2: Try To Check Add-ins:

There is a possibility to check add-ins. So, disable them all one after another. After disabling all the add-ins, restart Outlook. Now, see if the issue is cleared. To check add-ins, use these steps.

Solution 4: Restart The Print Spooler Service

The printing services are managed by the System services. So, restarting this can resolve the problem.

  • Step 1: Open the Windows Run dialog box. Enter Services.
  • Step 2: The Windows Services page opens.
  • Step 3: Locate the Print Spooler service from the displayed list. Double-click on it and choose Stop.
  • Step 4: Open the search bar again and type %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers. Then delete the existing files from that folder.
  • Step 5: Finally, go to Windows Services and then restart the Print Spooler service.
