ProtonMail is an email service that ensures secure email communication. If you have a ProtonMail account and to configure Protonmail SMTP server settings, then you would have known that you can access your email account using a web browser or an email client on your computer. But, before you configure your ProtonMail email account on any of the email clients, you must install the ProtonMail Bridge on your computer.

Download And Install ProtonMail Bridge:

  • Step 1: On your computer, open a web browser and go to the official ProtonMail site.
  • Step 2: Search for ProtonMail Bridge and download the setup file to your computer.
  • Step 3: Run the downloaded file and install ProtonMail Bridge on your computer with the help of the instructions on the setup wizard.

Adding ProtonMail Account To ProtonMail Bridge:

  • Step 1: Open the ProtonMail Bridge application on your computer and click the Add Account option at the left bottom.
  • Step 2: Enter your username and click Next.
  • Step 3: Now, the email account will be connected to Bridge and if required, click the Mailbox configuration option and make the desired changes.
  • Step 4: The next screen will show the IMAP and Protonmail SMTP server settings for your ProtonMail account using which you can configure your account in an email client.
