The Mail Server Imap Aol Is Not Responding

AOL is an American based web-email service. Whenever you try to send an email or access an email, if the AOL mail server does not respond, consider following the solutions given below to fix the problem. Before that, understand the reasons for the occurrence of this issue.

Causes of the problem:

  • Step 1:When the email account is loaded with junk emails and unwanted or spam emails, the error can occur.
  • Step 2:The error also arises if there is a huge number of incoming and outgoing emails on the email account.
  • Step 3:Sometimes, the technical glitch on the AOL mail server can lead to the error.
  • Step 4:Using an incorrect email address or password can cause the error.
  • Step 5:Improper server configuration settings also block the outgoing and incoming emails on the email account.
  • Step 1:First, change the password in your email provider on web or from its application.
  • Step 2:Open the Microsoft Outlook application and click on the File tab. Select Account Settings and click Update Password.

Ways to solve the problem:

Delete and add the account.
