How To Fix Windows Live Mail Error 0x80194194?

The Windows Live Mail error 0x80194194 occurs when you try to access or sync a Hotmail account in the Windows Live Mail app. The Hotmail service has been closed already, but the users are still using their Hotmail account through Outlook. Solution-1: Remove & re-add the account

  • Step 1:Launch the Windows Live Mail app on your computer and you can find the email accounts on the left side panel.
  • Step 2:Right-click your Hotmail account and select the Remove account option.
  • Step 3:If the confirmation message appears in the window, click Yes to proceed.
  • Step 4:Once it is removed, close the app window and re-launch the app.
  • Step 5:Now, go on to add the Hotmail account.
  • Step 6:Select the Accounts menu at the top of the window and then click E-mail.
  • Step 7:Following that, type the email address and password, choose Manually configure server settings, and click Next.
  • Step 8:Enter the necessary information to complete the account setup.

  • Step 1:In the Windows Live Mail app, under Accounts, select the Properties menu.
  • Step 2:In the window that opens up, select the Hotmail account to open the email settings.
  • Step 3:Next, go to the Servers panel and set the incoming server as either POP3 or IMAP.
  • Step 4:See if the Incoming and Outgoing mail server information is rightly set as given below.

  • Step 2:Port number: 993
  • Step 3:Security type: SSL
